LA HABRA

La Habra, California has been a consistently quiet place to live and work in since its incorporation in 1925. It is conveniently situated on the northern border of Orange County, offering easy access to Los Angeles metropolitan area as well as the varied communities of suburban Orange County.

The city had humble beginnings as a ranching community as early as the mid-nineteenth century, and has seen life as a community evolve from a spot for newly settled westward pioneers, to an agricultural town that gave rise to the famous Hass avocado and finally as its current incarnation as a family friendly suburb today.

La Habra is a great place to raise a family. The La Habra City School District is home to seven elementary schools and two junior high schools that feed into state and nationally recognized secondary schools La Habra High and Sonora High, part of the adjacent Fullerton Unified School District. La Habra also is home to several private and specialty schools. The city is also very safe and enjoys a crime rate that is far below the national average for all offenses.

There are 18,977 households in La Habra, with a median household income of $61,674.

La Habra boasts dozens of parks and hundreds of acres of recreational space for residents to enjoy, as well as the renowned La Habra Children’s Museum, which is located in an historic railway depot and servers thousands of guests every year. The recently completed La Bonita Sports Complex hosts many open and structured recreation and sports programs for residents of all ages.

Many city-led beautification, capital and infrastructure projects are underway or completed, in addition to La Habra’s full-service nature, providing comprehensive emergency services, community outreach and maintenance programs for its residents.
